PDF Remediation for Accessibility
Before posting a PDF online, it should be evaluated and/or remediated to ensure that it is accessible for all users. In order to remediate and add accessibility features to a PDF, you must use Adobe Acrobat Pro or Adobe Acrobat DC. Knowing that this process can be troublesome and that the software required is not always readily available to everyone, the University of Mississippi accessibility team has made this a service available to all faculty and staff.
If you have a PDF that needs to be evaluated or remediated prior to being posted online, please send it to us at email@example.com. We ask that you allow for up to 5 business days for your fully accessible document to be returned via email. If you have the original format you used to type up this file, such a the .doc or .docx created is Microsoft Word, including this file in your email to us could help speed up the turn around time significantly.
