09/24 Video Accessibility: Captions and transcripts are essential to provide access to audio and audiovisual information for those who are deaf or hard of hearing. A majority of all students report that captions are beneficial to them for increasing focus, for help with understanding difficult information, for help with retaining information, and more. This session will talk about how to source captioned videos from third party sources to share with students and will also walk through the steps of captioning in Panopto. We will also briefly discuss captioning and transcription in Zoom.
