Hands-On Accessibility Updates for Faculty
UM Digital Accessibility is hosting Accessibility Quick Fixes Days on October 30th and November 10th to work through accessibility issues found in Blackboard courses.
- There are two opportunities to attend: Thursday, October 30th or Monday, November 10th
- Faculty are invited to drop in to Weir Hall 107 any time between 10am-4pm (Reservations are optional)
- We will walk through using Blackboard Ally to identify and fix the most critical accessibility issues in courses.
- Digital Accessibility staff will directly support attendees with increasing the accessibility of their course content.
The new Americans with Disabilities Act Title II Digital Accessibility rule requires compliance with accessibility standards. The broad scope of this law creates a shared responsibility to create and share accessibility content for almost everyone on campus. UM Digital Accessibility is available for support and training throughout this process.
