CommonLook Software

CommonLook Software for PDF Remediation

When the decision is made to post a digital document online as a PDF, that document must be remediated to ensure accessibility – especially if the source document was not created accessibly.  While Adobe Acrobat can be used to check for PDF accessibility and also to remediate PDFs, the process for doing so is complex and tedious. Therefore, the University of Mississippi Digital Accessibility Solutions team has chosen to make a remediation software called CommonLook available to users who create and share a large volume of PDF files. This software allows users to reduce the time and training required to produce accessible PDFs.
